Family Spring Flower Show at Tuppenny Barn on Saturday 1st April, to celebrate spring in the garden.

Come and join the competition fun and exhibit your spring flowers, or just come and browse the flowers on show.

This is our first show, and we would like to invite entries from regular show exhibitors as well as novices who may need help or advice with their exhibit. Although items will be judged, we want this to be a fun event enjoyed by all.

Schedules showing the classes you may enter are available from the beginning of February at various locations including Tuppenny Barn shop (on Thursdays and Fridays), Emsworth library and Emsworth and Bosham local gardening clubs. If you think you don’t have anything suitable, please check your garden, you may be surprised at the flowers and plants you find.

The show opens at 2pm on 1st April at Tuppenny Barn, Main Road, Southbourne and there will be something for non-exhibitors to enjoy as well as viewing the show benches.

Attractions include: an extensive plant sale with interesting plants; a gardening Tombola; garden items for sale. Homemade refreshments will be available to buy as well as delicious homemade cakes from the cake stall.

Our Chichester Community Wildlife Officer, Sarah Hughes is providing activities for children; and there will be information about Greening Southbourne and the GreenRing.
