Learn how to use your Digital SLR camera off Auto Mode. Gain the confidence you need to take control of your camera and get creative with your photography at Tuppenny Barn.
Sally Stone will introduce you to the fundamentals of photography and guide you on how to use the camera aperture, shutter speed and ISO, followed by basic composition skills and image design to enable you to make instant creative decisions and begin to look at the aesthetics of photography whilst developing your own personal style.
Throughout the day you will receive full tuition, advice and have plenty of opportunity to take photos at the location whilst trying out your new skills.
Equipment required and camera guidelines – a Digital SLR camera is ideally the best type of camera you can have if you want to really explore and experiment with photography at a beginner level. However, all types of cameras are welcome, as long as they have a manual shooting mode setting.
Cost of the workshop includes a light lunch and refreshments during the day.
Meet the Tutor
Sally is an experienced photography lecturer who has a keen interest in gardening and the great outdoors. Joining Tuppenny Barn initially as a volunteer gardener to learn more about organic vegetable growing, Sally is now responsible for selling the organic produce grown and cropped on-site at Tuppenny Barn on a weekly basis. She is keen to encourage customers to try out new and different seasonal vegetables together with other locally sourced products as they arrive in the shop.
Sally also runs a number of Photography Workshops throughout the year at Tuppenny Barn to share her enthusiasm in using photography to visually capture our interpretation of experiences we may see in the natural environment, with our family and friends or just simply objects, anything can be photographed – people, places or objects.
