Learn how to make a flower bouquet with Maggie Haynes. Cut your own seasonal flowers from Tuppenny Barn and turn them into a beautiful hand held bouquet
Come and join Maggie Haynes at our organic smallholding at Tuppenny Barn, for a morning of seasonal cut flowers, homemade refreshments and an insight into creating a hand held bouquet.
You’ll begin the workshop by picking beautiful hand grown flowers from the various flower cutting patches on site, then bring them inside to condition them.
After coffee break Maggie will show you how to put together a hand held bouquet and then encourage you to make your own with the flowers you have picked.
At the end of the workshop you will leave with a gorgeous hand held bouquet, having learnt the basic skills on how to put together future bouquets.
About the Tutor
Maggie Haynes is the CEO and founder of the charity Tuppenny Barn. She established the organic smallholding 18 years ago with no formal training in horticulture. This was due to her previous career, serving 21 years in the Intelligence Corps and then a security consultant to a defence company. She has established Tuppenny Barn as an accredited Soil Association producer, a charity that has sustainability at its core with 16 staff and 70 volunteers, and more importantly, founded The Chichester Flower Farmer to grow beautiful seasonal cut flowers for the local community. She says flowers are her therapy!
