ExpiredWorkshop: Edible flowers & unusual salad leaves

Have you ever wanted to grow tasty salad leaves that are not found in your local supermarket? Come along to this workshop to gain knowledge in growing unusual leaves. Maggie Haynes will be showing you what salad leaves are produced at Tuppenny Barn with growing hints and tips and the opportunity to taste different varieties. These leaves are regularly on sale at our twice weekly produce shop, quite often with edible flowers included. She will also give you an insight into what seasonal flowers are edible, how they can be used and grown with some recipes to take home. Edible flowers can look beautiful added to many culinary dishes and make a salad look something special

Includes homemade refreshments, seeds, tasters and handouts. Suitable for all abilities.
