An Essex girl born and bred, Janice drifted through education ending up with a degree in Politics and International Studies from Southampton University. She then travelled for a while in both America and Europe, supporting herself by waitressing and chambermaiding en route. On return, she continued her ‘bohemian’ phase by selling vintage clothes on Brighton market whilst penning two rather quirky, and hence unpublishable, novels. A bizarre turn in life then led to her becoming a bookkeeper with a firm of Financial Advisors, and hence to a job in education, upskilling adults in literacy and numeracy. All of which led, somehow, to her most recent incarnation as (veg) bag lady for Tuppenny Barn. She is a particular fan of beetroot.
