As a charity, we at Tuppenny Barn are keen to help the community in this time of great need. We have stepped up our normal working model to be able to provide as much fresh produce to those locally. The shop is open on Thursdays from 9 – 4pm. We are practising strict social distancing to keep both customers and staff safe.
Brimming with produce this is the best place to buy fresh, seasonal, organic fruit and vegetables, as well as locally caught fresh fish from Fresh from the Boat on a Thursday (10am – 12 midday).
We sell fruit and vegetables harvested from Tuppenny Barn, and have even been known to pop down to the field to pick while the customer waits! We sell further fruit and vegetables sourced from two other local organic wholesalers.
To complement the fruit and veg, we sell our homemade jams and chutneys, as well as Christine’s fresh cakes and bakes. We sell honey from our own hives (although that tends to sell out very fast!) – and when it has sold out we supply honey from another local producer.
We stock a delicious range of organic, artisan bread, including rye, seed, walnut, ciabatta, focaccia, and pastries such as croissants and almond croissants, which are delivered every Thursday morning by local baker Darrin.
We also stock local eggs from Rookery Farm in Bognor Regis, which are organic and from happy, free-range hens.
Our weekly VegBags, containing seasonal fruit and vegetables, can be collected from Tuppenny Barn during shop opening hours. Please note our veg bag scheme is not currently open to new customers.
