Tots, willow dome and upcoming workshops

Tomorrow and Tuesday, Abi will be welcoming back St John’s College pupils to Tuppenny Barn for their annual
visit. She will also be putting the finishing touches to her half term workshop on Tuesday 21st Feb where she will be getting the children to try out some woodland mapping, make wind catchers and also get into the kitchen for some cooking. We do still have a few places remaining so if you are looking for some fun activities you can book through the website.

Carla will be with us on Friday, taking the monthly Tuppenny Tots session for the under 5’s. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, they will be making cards and potting up some spring bulbs. Pre-book your place through the website. On Monday 20th Feb, also with Mother’s Day in mind, we have Sarah Radford returning to us for her ever popular upcycled jewellery workshop. You will be making at least 2 pieces of jewellery and is suitable for both teenagers and adults to come along and get creative.

Last week, we had our circular willow dome repaired by Mark and Rebecca Ford from Two Circles Design, as well as placing the large willow arch to its more permanent resting place at the entrance of the raised beds. Most of the dome whips had to be replaced so there is now a much more compact dome in its place. It is a lovely place to be within for lunch and is much enjoyed by visiting school children.
